MAC Soar Lipstick ($18.50 for 0.1 oz.) is a deep mauve with subtle, cool undertones and a semi-matte finish. The pigmentation was opaque in one layer, which applied evenly and smoothly across my lips comfortably. The texture felt denser, a little thicker than the average lipstick. Today I am again reviewing a liquid lipstick from MAC Cosmetics. This lipstick is from their Retro Matte Liquid Lipstick collection. I have a few mac lipsticks and I love them to the core. 1. Apply to lips using the edge of the applicator for a smooth, sharp shape.
2. Use the tip of the applicator to perfect your application.

Packaging

Mac Liquid lipcolor Fashion Legacy comes packed in a regular black MAC cardboard. There are all the necessary information printed on it even ingredients. The inner lip colour comes in a little chubby see through tube with black round top cap. Cap of the lipstick is twistable which closes tightly hence it is leak proof. Tube of the lipstick is quite sturdy therefore travel friendly.

See through packaging of a lipstick is good for me as it is easy to locate. It has a unique spongy applicator which helps to apply lipstick nicely and precisely. However, this lipstick packaging does not look like that it is from a luxury brand. Recent gambling movies. The packaging is overall normal and nothing special.

Texture And Finish

This liquid lipstick from MAC has a beautiful thick creamy texture. It glides on my lips very smoothly as well as evenly. Once applied it sets into a very matte finish within one minute of application. Only one single swipe is needed to cover entire lips.

The pigmentation of the lip colour is to die for. Applying it in one go is very important or else it will be hard to apply the lipstick precisely on outlines once it sets. Applying it only once is recommended, layering it twice may give it little patchy look and will feel heavier. The lipstick is matte but it does not feel dry on lips like most of the liquid lipsticks do. It is very comfortable to wear I feel. It does not make the lips feel dry even if you don't wear a lip balm underneath.

Shade MAC Retro Matte Liquid Lipstick Fashion Legacy

Mac describe this shade as Intense Fire Truck Red. Fashion legacy is intense red with orangish undertone to it. I feel this kind of reds suit our Indian skin tones very well. The shade is very bold and intense as described. It is definitely not an everyday wear shade but this shade will look bomb on black or white outfit. When I wear this shade, I get a lot of compliments and people ask me about it. It will suit every skin tone to the bits. And most important it makes my teeth look more whiter and brighter. Also, it instantly lights up my overall complexion.

Staying Power

Last but not the least is staying power of the lipstick. This lipstick's staying power is amazing. It suffers meal and does not budge from its place. Its non transferable and does not bleed or smudge. It stayed on me for about 7 hours without meal. It does fade a little after 7 to 8 hours. Removing it is very difficult. I remove it with my coconut oil twice and than with a micellar water to completely get rid of it. It stains lips deeply.

1. I suggest you to apply a lip liner to outline your lips and than apply this to get a nice precise application in one go.
2. Remove it with a good makeup remover, micellar water or coconut oil to completely get rid of the stain it provides.

M.A.C stands for quality and textures together. If you are fond of makeup and always go for quality makeup then, you are must familiar with M.A.C. One of the world's leading cosmetic brands is a symbol of luxury.

The brand is famous for its diverse products with adorable shades of each one of the product. The matte lipsticks of the M.A.C give fine, creamy finish and are long-lasting.

I bought some of the M.A.C matte lipsticks and found them good. I am addicted to some of the brand's shades and present you my experience with the M.A.C matte lipsticks.

Packaging:

The product comes in a metallic black body with a sturdy black cap that is good enough to make it travel-friendly. When applying the lipstick, I did not face any pulling, it is smooth.

Matte Formula:

The matte finish is creamy and there is no shine in the shades, that make some of the shades a bit pasty.

Staying Formula:

As, for the staying time, it persists well for 4-5 hours.

My Favorite Shades:

PLEASE ME, is my choice from the M.A.C matte lipsticks. The long-lasting smooth pink shade gives a fresh look to lips. It goes for every skin tone, but, for dusky tone, there is a need to use a liner of the same color to avoid a whitish look. I loved it because I always go for light shades.

The other shades available are also opaque, rich and apply consistently. The nude shades from the M.A.C matte lipsticks are unique in a sense that they lack conventional undertones and give a real look. It felt a little heavy but, never felt patchy to me.

Quality:

The M.A.C is a brand for which there is no need to be worried about quality. It worth its price.

It is a classic red shade with a creamy formula and no shine matte finish.

The 4-5 hours long-lasting smooth pink shade gives a fresh look to lips. It goes for every skin tone, but, for dusky tone there is a need to use a liner of the same color to avoid whitish look. I loved it because I always go for light shades.
